Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks an experienced and collaborative associate vice president for development and fundraising to provide strategic leadership and direction to central and unit-based advancement initiatives and to increase the capacity and potential for the Institute’s overall philanthropic efforts.
Reporting to the vice president for institute advancement, the associate vice president for development and fundraising will be primarily responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating staff and operations for individual, major and principal gifts; corporate and foundation relations; and analytics and research.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage and mentor a large and diverse staff across a complex environment; be able to conceptualize and formulate plans that excite major potential donors around big ideas and projects; and have a track record of success pushing development programs to ever-higher performance levels across all metrics.
