On behalf of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, we are pleased to announce Sally A. Kornbluth, PhD has been named the next President of MIT. Kornbluth will begin her term January 1, 2023, following a unanimous election by a vote of the MIT Corporation. A cell biologist currently serving as provost at Duke University, Kornbluth will be the second woman to serve as MIT’s president.
