Executive Director

Fenway Community Development Corporation (Fenway CDC) seeks an Executive Director to bring visionary leadership, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a commitment to equity and inclusion to guide the organization in its next chapter. Fenway CDC is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the Fenway as a vibrant and diverse neighborhood by developing affordable housing, providing workforce development programs, and strengthening the voice of residents. The organization seeks to capitalize on opportunities that arise from the Fenway’s unique location in the city of Boston and the high concentration of world-renowned academic and medical institutions in the neighborhood. 

The Executive Director will join the organization at a time of strength, having increased budget and staff over the past decade. The Fenway CDC has 400+ units under ownership with another 100+ units under development. The new leader will build on a track record of successful advocacy for community benefits, cultivation of relationships with major developers and property owners to enable the organization to realize major benefits to the community, such as affordable childcare, educational access, and connections to jobs and services. 

The Executive Director of Fenway CDC will be a visible external leader and strategic thinker who can balance the agendas of many different stakeholders to make tangible progress on the organization’s goals. The ED will have direct oversight and responsibility for Fenway CDC’s administrative and programmatic functions, including an 18+ member staff and a $3 million budget, and will embrace the opportunity to work closely with an active community-based board. The ideal candidate will have the vision and skills to further the mission through fundraising, real estate development, fostering stakeholder relations, and building a community-driven organization.
