Stanford University, recognized as one of the most prestigious and innovative academic and research institutions in the world, seeks a Solutions Consultant Director to join the University’s Department of Human Resources. The Solutions Consultant Director (Director) is an inaugural position that will serve as the leader of a burgeoning capability at Stanford Human Resources (HR). The Director will bridge the gap between University Information Technology (UIT) and HR, acting as a strategic partner to one or more of the newly developed Centers of Expertise (COE) in HR. Reporting to the Senior Director of Client Services, the Director will have the opportunity to grow and lead a team situated to make a broad, institutional impact.
As Stanford continues to migrate its systems to the Cloud, the Solutions Consultant Director will be a pivotal partner in envisioning a new future for HR. Solutions Consulting is a new function within Stanford’s HR, and the Director will guide the development of the capability. Ultimately, the goal is for Solutions Consulting to serve the broad systems needs of the COEs through developing new capacities through HR Technology. The Director will work across HR to serve as a thought partner to the COEs, identifying opportunities to advance systems and analytics and provide insight and guidance around a complex, decentralized HR Technology system. The Director will be abreast of the latest trends in technology as they will partner in product selection, implementation, user training, in addition to understanding the core HR processes and having an expertise in an HR functional area. With an orientation to business solutions, the Director will oversee the assessment, implementation, and development of management information systems across units in HR at Stanford. The Director and team will help COEs understand what their users need, how to best equip them, and how to train them so that they are comfortable and effective with the technology. They will be a keen leader with an eye toward technology, someone who envisions technology as an enabler and a driver to bold solutions.
