Deborah joined Isaacson, Miller in 2006, and has conducted searches from the director to president level for a variety of higher education and nonprofit organizations. She has led a high number of searches at all levels for universities in the western part of the country, including many public institutions and two successful presidential searches for Portland State University. Her expertise extends to library and information science, and she has also placed numerous females and minorities. Previously, Deborah was a principal for a boutique retained search firm. Her extensive search and recruitment experience also includes work for a global search firm focused on corporate clients in a variety of industry sectors. In addition, she has spent time in business development and management. A certified coach specializing in leadership transitions, Deborah is on the board of the Stepping Stones Project. The small Bay Area nonprofit guides and supports adolescent youth through long-term mentoring and contemporary rites of passage.
