Since joining Isaacson, Miller in 2014, Courtney has worked on a number of searches in higher education, academic medicine, and arts and culture, including the search that placed UC Berkeley's first female chancellor. Her other notable searches include the executive director at the San Francisco Symphony and numerous chairs (among other placements) at UC Davis Health. Prior to working at our firm, Courtney was the assistant director of undergraduate admissions at the University of Southern California. In that role, she recruited and reviewed applicants from around the country. Her past experience also includes a policy and research internship at the New England Board of Higher Education. There, she helped publish a policy brief on performance-based funding in public higher education as well as various articles for The New England Journal of Higher Education. Courtney, who serves on the Speaker Series Committee of our firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Initiative, brings a detail-oriented approach and a spirit of continuous growth and improvement to her work. Outside of the office, she is actively involved with Circle of Friends, a social inclusion program for people with special needs.
