Carmen, who joined Isaacson, Miller in 2016, brings a strong background in international education to the firm as well as fluency in Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin Chinese. Beyond global academia, she has conducted several conservation-related searches, including the presidential search for the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden in South Carolina. Previously, Carmen served as the director of recruiting and senior educational consultant at Elite Scholars of China in Beijing. There, she developed and led the company's recruitment process and training efforts, growing the team from five to 25 employees in two years. She also initiated and managed a range of programs that guided high-performing Chinese high school students to gain admittance and succeed at top U.S. colleges. Carmen began her professional career in higher education, first at Georgetown University's Center for Intercultural Education and Development and then as an undergraduate career advisor at the University of Pennsylvania. She volunteers as an alumni interviewer for her alma mater, Haverford College.
