The Trust for Public Land – a national leader and innovator in land conservation and parks creation – has named Diane Regas its new President and CEO, effective March 12, 2018.
Diane joins the Trust for Public Land from the Environmental Defense Fund, where she currently serves as Executive Director. Over more than 11 years at EDF, Diane’s achievements have included leading and expanding its oceans program; serving as SVP of Programs and spearheading two strategic plans; and serving as Executive Director since 2015, playing a pivotal role in EDF’s global work as well as in fund raising and external relations.
Prior to joining EDF, Diane spent 20 years at the Environmental Protection Agency, where she served during four presidential administrations in some of the agency’s highest positions. She holds a J.D., M.S. (Energy and Resources), and A.B. (History) from the University of California, Berkeley.
