Julia de la Torre began her tenure as the new Head of School at Moorestown Friends School in July 2018.
Julia was formerly the Head of Upper School at Greenhills School in Ann Arbor, MI, and previously served as the Executive Director of Primary Source, a non-profit focused on global education and citizenship. Previously, Julia taught French and chaired the Foreign Language Department at Kent Denver School in Englewood, CO, and served in the Peace Corps in Moldova.
Julia has a bachelor’s degree from Haverford College, a master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in International Educational Policy and a certificate in Non-Profit Management and Leadership from the Boston University Questrom School of Business. She also completed the Klingenstein Summer Institute for independent school leaders at Columbia University Teachers College.
