Action Against Hunger - USA is seeking an exceptionally accomplished, high performing leader to serve as its next chief executive officer (CEO). Based in New York City, Action Against Hunger – USA is part of the global Action Against Hunger network, a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger. As the world’s hunger specialist and the only NGO exclusively focused on ending acute malnutrition, the network provided lifesaving assistance to 20 million vulnerable people in over 45 countries in 2017. Action Against Hunger – USA operates with a budget of about $70 million and a staff of 1,500 across eight countries, primarily in East Africa.

The next CEO of Action Against Hunger – USA will have an unparalleled opportunity to contribute to the elimination of deadly hunger and impact the lives of millions of people across the globe. Leading and working with an outstanding senior management team, the CEO is responsible for advancing AAH’s mission, implementing its strategic plan, marshalling resources to achieve strategic goals, representing the organization, creating public awareness for Action Against Hunger, and providing thought-leadership in the field of global hunger and undernutrition. The CEO reports to a Board of Directors which currently has 15 members.
