The Carson College of Business (CCB) enrolls 2,100 undergraduate students and houses the US News and World Report 13th ranked online MBA in the country.

Accounting is a changing profession with increasing demands on the students when they graduate, not only in credit hours required for the CPA exam, but in technical skills required by industry. Students at WSU are well-prepared for post-collegiate careers through a curriculum that is reviewed regularly and support from a new Career Advisor whose focus is on student placement and industry relations.

Faculty research is an important mission not just to the College but to all of WSU. The faculty inspire discovery and spark creativity among civic-minded students through the curriculum, experiential learning opportunities, and the research they produce. The Accounting faculty, with an influx of new hires over the last few years, is poised to produce high quality scholarship with strong support from the Chair.

The Chair will harness this moment of growth and change to strengthen the student experience and support faculty in their scholarly aspirations. Through curriculum review, research support, and strengthened industry connections, the Department is poised to rise in prestige and better prepare students for success.
