Digital Promise invites nominations and applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This position calls for a visionary and strategic CEO who will lead the organization to have an even greater impact on educational innovation and bridging the digital divide at a time when the need to reimagine teaching and learning is more urgent than ever.

Digital Promise is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aims to advance equity and spur innovation in education for learners at all levels. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, equity-minded organizational leader with a track record of successfully leading a high-growth organization, building external partnerships, and generating resources. In its next leader, Digital Promise seeks a CEO who is passionate about leveraging the intersection of education, technology, and innovation to address societal inequities and the growing digital divide. This person will serve as an inspirational and effective communicator both internally and externally; be seen as a leader in education research and innovation, be committed to and adaptive in their approach to developing people and teams across offices and geographical divides; advance the creation of efficient operational structures across the organization; and be successful in bringing in new resources through grants, fundraising, and partnerships. It will be essential for the new CEO to embody and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion and deepen the organization’s ongoing commitment to racial justice. Candidates are expected to have a minimum of a BA (ideally with a related advanced degree) and at least 20 years of overall professional experience (10 years of experience in relevant non-profit and for-profit organizations). Work in public education is a plus.
