Dean Bowling Green State University, College of Technology, Architecture & Applied Engineering | Bowling Green, Ohio On behalf of Bowling Green State University, Isaacson, Miller is pleased to announce that Dr. Wael Mokhtar has been selected as the next dean of the College of Technology, Architecture, and Applied Engineering. Dr. Mokhtar will join BGSU in July 2024 and collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to propel the college to new heights.Dr. Mokhtar currently serves as director of the School of Engineering at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he is responsible for the school’s day-to-day operations. During his time as director, he led multiple successful student recruitment and retention initiatives, developed new engineering degree programs, and led two successful ABET accreditations.Dr. Mokhtar holds a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from Old Dominion University and is a professor of mechanical engineering at Grand Valley State University. His research interests include computational fluid dynamics (CFD), wind tunnel testing, vehicle aerodynamics and teaching methods.Jeff Kessner led this search with Robin Dougherty and Jenny Rubin.
