Lilian Clemente, MEd

Cal State Monterey Bay is pleased to announce the appointment of Lilian Clemente as its new associate vice president (AVP) of Marketing and Communications. She joins the university on November 2 from Front Range Community College, where she has most recently served as executive vice president and chief communications officer.

In her role at Front Range Community College, she led the Strategic Marketing and Communications division and also served as chief of staff to the president. She has overseen creative strategy, executive and internal communications, media relations, digital strategy, and web governance, ensuring alignment between vision, strategy, and execution across a complex, multi-campus institution.

Clemente previously worked in marketing and communications roles at Arizona State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has led high-performing, award-winning creative teams and deployed multifaceted, robust marketing campaigns supporting enrollment management, brand marketing, advancement, alumni engagement, and athletics.

Clemente holds a bachelor’s degree in business communication, a master’s degree in higher and postsecondary education, and a certificate in international business from Arizona State University.
