Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Assistant Vice President of Development

Following a national search, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center has appointed Kacy Bullard as the assistant vice president of development, effective June 9, 2026. In his new role, Bullard will collaborate closely with the senior vice president of development and her senior leadership team to support the ongoing advancement and modernization of the development division, building team strength and capacity, taking strategic risks, and using data-informed approaches to shape and drive philanthropic growth across the organization. 

An accomplished and strategic organizational leader, Bullard currently serves as the associate vice president for strategy and operations for the advancement team and the chief operating and chief financial officer for the Stony Brook Foundation. Bullard leads a staff of over 50 employees across human resources, legal affairs, budget management, policies/procedures, administrative and technology services, and gift administration. In his current role, Bullard has enhanced operational efficiency and effectiveness across the advancement office and collaborated with cross-functional teams to drive university-wide initiatives. Prior to Stony Brook, Bullard served as director of advocacy and government affairs at The Ohio State University (Ohio State), where he led advocacy efforts with local, state, and federal elected officials and developed strategic advocacy plans to engage with policymakers. Prior to Ohio State, Bullard worked in state government, including roles with the Ohio Department of Commerce and the Ohio Governor’s Office, and served as counsel for Nationwide Insurance Company. 

Bullard holds a bachelor of science in business administration and a juris doctorate from Ohio State.
