Jonathan Eden, MHA | Director of Development, Cancer Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation, Senior Director of Development, Cancer Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation (HMHF) is pleased to appoint Jonathan Eden as the senior director of development for cancer, effective June 22, 2026. In this consequential role, Eden will develop proven fundraising strategies for a prominent clinical area amid Houston Methodist’s upcoming comprehensive campaign and beyond. Eden joins HMHF from the University of Miami where, since 2021, he has served in progressive fundraising roles for the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (Sylvester). He first began as the inaugural development associate for Sylvester, expertly managing a mid-level donor portfolio with a focus on identifying and upgrading donors for major gift solicitation, before progressing into the director of development role in 2022. In this role, Eden partnered closely with senior faculty, physicians, and executive leadership across Sylvester to identify funding opportunities and advance significant philanthropic investments in cancer research and clinical programs. Eden came to Sylvester from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where he served as an office coordinator, supporting a high volume of clinical operations. Before forging a career in development, Eden danced with the acclaimed dance company MOMIX Dance Theater where he created works and performed globally for over 15 years. Eden holds a bachelor of science in biology from St. John’s University and a master of health administration from New York University.
