ICA Philadelphia, Daniel W. Dietrich, II Director

ICA Philadelphia has appointed Johanna Burton as its Daniel W. Dietrich, II Director. She will begin her role on November 1, 2025.

She joins ICA from the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles where she has served as Director since 2021. Johanna was also previously the Director of the Wexner Center for the Arts and has held leadership roles at New Museum in New York, the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College, and the Whitney Museum. In partnership with ICA’s Board of Advisors and senior leadership, she will work to shape the ICA's future and drive its mission as a bold hub for experimentation, groundbreaking ideas, intellectual rigor, and the cultivation and launch of visionary artists.
