Intealth, Senior Vice President and Chief IMG Experience Officer

We are pleased to share that Intealth has appointed Catherine Apaloo, MD, as its first senior vice president and chief IMG experience officer. Dr. Apaloo will begin her new role in November 2025.

This newly created executive position is dedicated to advancing the experience of international medical graduates (IMGs) throughout their entire professional journey, from medical school through residency, practice, and leadership. 

Dr. Apaloo brings more than two decades of clinical, academic, and administrative leadership to the role. As an internist and former Program Director and Designated Institutional Official (DIO) with national experience in graduate medical education, she has long been a champion for equitable access to training, support, and opportunity for aspiring physicians from around the world.

Dr. Apaloo will lead cross-functional initiatives to improve IMG engagement, streamline interactions, and elevate the voices of international physicians in shaping the future of health care. Her work will span digital transformation, policy development, advocacy, and service design to create a more responsive, human-centered experience.

This appointment is the first of its kind in the U.S. health care and education sector and marks a significant milestone in Intealth’s strategic vision to be a global leader in advancing health care through excellence in physician evaluation and education.
