IntermediaryEd, Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Directors at IntermediaryEd has appointed Rachel Korberg as the organization’s inaugural Chief Executive Officer.

Ms. Korberg is a nationally recognized leader in philanthropy, U.S. workforce issues, and economic mobility. As co-founder and Executive Director of the Families and Workers Fund, a coalition of 20 major philanthropies working together to improve economic mobility through uplifting careers, her work has helped more than 1.3 million workers and learners experience improved career pathways.

Previously, Rachel served at the Ford Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation where she led grantmaking portfolios focused on the future of work, tech innovation, and economic opportunity. She also advised executive leaders on new directions in strategy and stood up special initiatives and partnerships, including a new, major coalition of Fortune 500 companies and a collaboration between two philanthropies that drove millions of dollars in grantmaking to community-based nonprofits.

Ms. Korberg, a former Presidential Leadership Scholar and New York Times Dealbook “Groundbreaker,” made history as the first woman elected as President of the Board of Directors of the Stonewall Community Foundation. Her work has been featured by New York Times, Washington Post, and Fortune, and she is regularly invited to speak about philanthropy and U.S. workforce issues at venues ranging from the United Nations and Yale University to the Federal Reserve and Aspen Institute.
