Carola Weil, PhD | Vice Provost for International Affairs University of Minnesota, Vice Provost for International Affairs We are pleased to announce the completion of our search for the Vice Provost for International Affairs at University of Minnesota. From a strong pool of candidates, Dr. Carola Weil has been selected to fill this important position.Dr. Weil brings distinguished experience in global education, strategic partnerships, and cross-cultural leadership to this role. Since 2018, Dr. Weil has served as Dean of Continuing Studies for the past eight years at McGill University. During her tenure, she successfully led initiatives that significantly strengthened the global presence of the university, including through collaborative educational and research partnerships with international organizations, universities, and the private sector; and promoted innovative approaches to international education for adult learners and historically underrepresented populations. Previously, Dr. Weil has held leadership roles at American University as Found Dean of the School of Professional & Extended Studies, University of Southern California as Associate Dean for Planning and Strategic Initiatives, and University of Maryland, College Park as Executive Director of Center for International Development and Conflict Management. After receiving her bachelor’s degree at Bryn Mawr College, Dr. Weil earned her MPA, MA, and PhD from University of Maryland, College Park.
