Kennedy Kearney-Fischer

Since joining Isaacson, Miller in 2011, Kennedy has worked on searches for presidents and executive directors; chief functional officers in advancement, communications, and programs; and other key leadership positions for organizations across the civic sector. She has worked with a wide range of clients in the fields of advocacy, conservation, higher education, healthcare, and arts and culture, and is particularly passionate about serving organizations that support historically marginalized groups. Some recent clients include American Rivers, City Year, the Colorado Community College System, MIT, Montefiore Einstein Medicine, and Rush University’s Institute for Health Equity.

Kennedy has built strong partnerships with clients who have returned to work with her on additional searches, including the Peabody Essex Museum, NYU, and Washington University in St. Louis, where she helped the firm build a strategic partnership with the university advancement division. She works closely with search committees, boards of trustees, and candidates, who value her learning and understanding of their organizations, her counsel in these important moments of leadership transition, and her commitment to equity in the search process.

Prior to joining the firm, she worked at the University of Chicago Law School and recruited English teachers for a network of schools in Spain. Kennedy has also served as a medical advocate and crisis counselor with the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center since 2013.
