President and Chief Executive Officer The Pittsburgh Foundation | Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania The Pittsburgh Foundation seeks an inspirational, strategic, and collaborative leader to serve as its next President & CEO (President) —a rare opportunity to guide one of the nation’s most respected and established community foundations, stewarding approximately $1.7 billion in assets and operating with a $17 million annual budget at a pivotal moment of progress and possibility. The next President will join an institution with substantial momentum, supported by loyal donors, a committed Board, and a talented staff of approximately 70 professionals. The Foundation’s new headquarters at 912 Fort Duquesne Boulevard—a purpose-built convening space that hosted more than 100 gatherings in its first year and was designed to support collaboration, accessibility, and civic dialogue—further strengthens its role as a visible and trusted civic partner.This role carries full executive responsibility for a complex philanthropic enterprise overseeing nearly 2,800 donor-established funds, managing a predominantly endowment-driven financial structure, and ensuring rigorous legal, fiduciary, and operational stewardship. The Foundation is in the midst of a multi-year modernization of technology, systems, and data infrastructure, positioning the organization to deliver exceptional donor service and high-performing operational capabilities.The next President will have the opportunity to shape the Foundation’s next strategic direction—drawing on $1.4 billion in lifetime grantmaking, $68 million awarded in 2025, and more than 7,400 annual grants—and set priorities that deepen community impact, strengthen civic leadership, and ensure long-term relevance in a rapidly evolving philanthropic landscape.Success in this role will require strategic clarity, disciplined execution, and the ability to engage credibly across sectors and communities.
