Director, OU Health Harold Hamm Diabetes Center University of Oklahoma Health Campus | Oklahoma City, Oklahoma The University of Oklahoma and OU Health seek an accomplished researcher and leader to serve as Director of the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center. This role offers a unique opportunity to guide a well-resourced and nationally visible center committed to advancing discoveries, improving access to high-quality diabetes care, and accelerating progress toward prevention, treatment, and ultimately cure. The Director will also hold the University title of Vice Provost for Diabetes Programs, underscoring the institution’s commitment to integrating diabetes science and care across the academic health campus.The Harold Hamm Diabetes Center was founded through one of the largest philanthropic investments in diabetes research in the United States and benefits from significant internal research funding, endowed positions, shared facilities, and state-of-the-art laboratories. Its global presence is reflected in the Harold Hamm International Prize for Biomedical Research in Diabetes, the largest award in the field, and its statewide impact is strengthened through longstanding collaborations with Oklahoma’s sovereign tribal nations.The Center is part of an academic health campus that is making significant investments in research growth and interdisciplinary collaboration. The University has launched Project 200 to recruit 200 research-intensive faculty across the system, including 150 on the Health Campus, creating an exceptional environment for expansion in diabetes and metabolic disease research.Reporting to University leadership, the next Director will shape a unified scientific and clinical vision for the Center, strengthen research and clinical programs across adult and pediatric domains, and enhance the Center’s national and international standing.
