This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic and innovative leader to assume a pivotal role in growing the College and exploring new programs in the exciting and broad field of health innovation. Reporting to the Provost, the Dean will be a champion for the continuing success of CONHI and an important collaborating partner in cultivating new programs. Building on this strong nursing program, CONHI seeks further transformation into a nationally recognized leader in health innovation and has growing Kinesiology and public health programs. The Dean will engage, lead, and energize the community of CONHI to build new initiatives and collaborations across and outside the University. Embracing an innovative, forward-thinking mindset, the Dean will identify strategic priorities for investment; provide leadership in scholarship, research, and education; assume responsibility for all facets of CONHI’s finance and administration; and develop a vision that reflects the needs of UTA students, staff, faculty, and the surrounding community that includes creating leadership structure to expand CONHI into other areas of expertise. The Dean will possess a doctoral degree with a background in a health profession, health science, or allied health, have a substantial record of leadership in education, research, and clinical oversight, and a record of scholarly distinction appropriate for appointment as a tenured full professor at UTA.Jackie Mildner and Pat Hastie are leading this search with Alice Holland.
