Executive Director Australia Climate Impact Initiative | Sydney, New South Wales or Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Flora Grant has been selected as the founding Executive Director of the Australia Climate Impact Initiative (ACII), a new initiative supported by Australian Environmental Grantmakers Network and Climate Lead to unlock, ignite, and accelerate large-scale climate philanthropy across the country. As the initiative’s inaugural leader, Grant will work directly with philanthropists to help translate ambition into action, guiding donors toward high-impact climate solutions with the goal of dramatically increasing climate-focused philanthropy in Australia and beyond.Grant joins ACII from the University of Sydney, where she spent more than a decade in increasingly senior advancement leadership roles, most recently serving as Executive Director of Principal Gifts. There, she established and led a high-performing principal gifts program focused on engaging ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families in transformational philanthropy, helping secure several of Australia’s most significant philanthropic commitments. Grant’s accomplishments include cultivating and stewarding multiple eight- and nine-figure gifts supporting education, research, scholarships, and Indigenous-led initiatives. Earlier in her tenure, she led major gifts and donor relations efforts across a broad portfolio that included the Faculty of Science and Arts, Indigenous Strategy and Services, and the Chau Chak Wing Museum.
