Dean Boston University, College of Engineering | Boston, Massachusetts We are pleased to announce that Boston University's College of Engineering has named Professor Elise Morgan Dean, effective August 1, 2025. A distinguished member of the faculty since 2003, Dr. Morgan has served as interim dean since July 2023. Dr. Morgan holds the title of Maysarah K. Sukkar Professor of Engineering Design and Innovation, is the founding director of the Center for Multiscale and Translational Mechanobiology, and Director of the Micro-Computed Tomography Imaging Core Facility. She was recognized in 2015 as one of INSIGHT into Diversity magazine’s “100 Inspiring Women in STEM.” Her professional service includes roles as associate editor of the Journal of Biomechanics, board member of the Orthopaedic Research Society, and former chair of a National Institutes of Health study section.An accomplished researcher, Dr. Morgan has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and is an elected fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering.
