Assistant Vice President for Strategic Communications and Media Relations Bryn Mawr College | Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania Mark Eyerly has been appointed the inaugural assistant vice president, strategic communications and media relations, at Bryn Mawr College. Reporting to Vice President Samara Sit, Eyerly will lead an integrated editorial content team charged with creating content that enhances the college's reputation and name recognition. This includes oversight of content strategy, strategic and issues communications, media relations, and internal communications, as well as four staff.Previously, Eyerly served as vice president for marketing and communications at Ithaca College (2023 to 2025); vice president, marketing and communications, at Lafayette College (2016 to 2023); and chief communications officer at Temple University (2003 to 2008). He has also held senior roles at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business, University of Pennsylvania Law School, and the William Penn Foundation. He began his career as a staff writer for a regional newspaper and then spent a decade in a similar capacity at Cornell University.Eyerly received his Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Temple University and his Master of Science degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.Elizabeth Neustaedter led this search with Ryan Cheung.
