President Emily Griffith Technical College | Denver, Colorado We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sarah Heath as the Inaugural President of Emily Griffith Technical College.Dr. Heath currently serves as Vice Chancellor for Workforce, Academic and Student Affairs for the Colorado Community College System (CCCS), where she provides executive leadership for academic policy, workforce strategy, and student success initiatives across the state system. She brings more than 20 years of experience in Career and Technical Education (CTE) and over a decade of leadership within CCCS, along with a deep commitment to advancing equitable, high-quality, industry-aligned education. A collaborative and visionary leader, she has built and led high-performing organizations dedicated to workforce development and strong student outcomes.Her work is distinguished by a focus on innovation, equity, and alignment between education and labor market needs, informed by her leadership at both the state and national levels in CTE. Dr. Heath has held influential governance roles with organizations such as Advance CTE, the Association for Career and Technical Education, and SkillsUSA, and has been a leading voice in shaping policy and strengthening workforce education systems.As Inaugural President, Dr. Heath will lead Emily Griffith Technical College into a new era, advancing its mission as a premier provider of career and technical education. She will be charged with expanding academic programs, strengthening industry and postsecondary partnerships, enhancing the student experience, and ensuring operational and financial excellence while investing in faculty and staff and supporting continued institutional evolution.This appointment reflects Emily Griffith’s long-standing and important role as a cornerstone of workforce education in the Denver metro area and beyond.
