Assistant Vice President of Development and Constituent Engagement The George Washington University Law School | Washington, District of Columbia The George Washington University (GW) has appointed Evan Zaletel as the Assistant Vice President of Development and Constituent Engagement for GW Law, effective July 7, 2025. In this role, Zaletel will lead and oversee the fundraising and engagement efforts for GW Law and establish strategic direction for all aspects of the school’s development and engagement programs. Zaletel will serve as a critical member of the Law School’s senior leadership team and will collaborate closely with peers and leaders across the university to advance GW Law and institutional priorities. An accomplished fundraising professional with more than 18 years of experience, Zaletel most recently served as the executive director of annual giving and donor engagement at Johns Hopkins University & Medicine. In this role, Zaletel led the annual giving and regional major gifts teams, significantly increasing program growth, tripling the size of the annual fund team, and dramatically increasing philanthropic impact and total gifts secured. In his prior role as director of development at Carey Business School, Zaletel oversaw the development operation and strategy, partnering closely with the dean and senior leadership. Under Zaletel’s leadership, fundraising increased threefold.
