Dean of Spiritual and Religious Life Hamilton College | Clinton, New York We are pleased to announce that Rev. Dr. Colleen Hallagan Preuninger has been selected as Hamilton College’s inaugural Dean of Spiritual and Religious Life, effective August 4, 2025.A 2006 graduate of the College, Preuninger brings 15 years of experience in campus ministry and spiritual leadership, most recently at Stanford University. As a member of Hamilton’s Student Life leadership team, Preuninger will lead efforts to support students across all faith traditions and spiritual identities, and help ensure that religious and spiritual life is a visible and vibrant part of the Hamilton experience.In addition to her role in the spiritual and religious community, Hamilton is eager to welcome her to the leadership team in the Student Life division. Her insight, guidance, and deep pastoral care will benefit the campus broadly.After graduating from Hamilton in 2006 with a degree in art and German studies, Colleen received her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and her Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary. She is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. Colleen is an enthusiastic spiritual leader who is passionate about cultivating thoughtful environments for the spiritual, ethical, and moral formation of students.Ernest Brooks led this search with Alexis Ditaway and Caroline Corry.
