Program Director Long Island University, Post Campus | Brookville, New York Long Island University has selected Dr. David Hollingsworth as the University’s new Program Director of the LIU-Post Clinical Psychology PsyD Program.Dr. Hollingsworth joins LIU after serving as the Director of Clinical Training for Fielding Graduate University’s Clinical Psychology PhD Program. Under Dr. Hollingsworth’s leadership, Fielding’s 10-year APA-reaccreditation was confirmed, and the program had a record high number of accredited internship placements in recent program history.Prior to his time at Fielding, Dr. Hollingsworth was a Staff Psychologist and Director of Psychology Training of the APA-accredited internship program at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he was also instrumental in getting the program reaccredited for 10 years. Dr. Hollingsworth has also held academic appointments at Fairfield University and the University of Alabama.Dr. Hollingsworth’s main research interests include suicidology and psychopathology among minoritized individuals. Dr. Hollingsworth received his BA in Psychology from Morehouse College and MS and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Oklahoma State University. He completed his pre-doctoral residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center/G.V.
