Dean of Libraries Loyola University Chicago | Chicago, Illinois We are pleased to announce the completion of our search for the Dean of University Libraries at Loyola University Chicago. From a strong pool of candidates, Loyola University Chicago has appointed Jamie Wittenberg, effective January 1, 2026. Jamie brings extensive experience in academic library leadership, research data management, and open scholarship. She currently serves as assistant dean for research and innovation strategies at the University of Colorado Boulder Libraries, where she oversees collections, technical services, and library technology. Before joining the University of Colorado, Jamie served as head of research data management and scholarly communication at Indiana University Libraries and previously led the research data management program at the University of California, Berkeley. Jamie holds a BA from Bard College, a master’s degree in culture, media, and cultural management from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MSLIS) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
