Assistant Dean of Philanthropy and President of the NC Agricultural Foundation, Inc. North Carolina State University, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences | Raleigh, North Carolina Jason Gipe has been named assistant dean of philanthropy for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at NC State University and president of the North Carolina Agricultural Foundation, following a national search. Gipe has served as interim co-leader of CALS Advancement and brings deep institutional knowledge, strong relationships across North Carolina’s agricultural and life sciences communities, and a demonstrated commitment to advancing the college’s mission.Gipe has spent the past several years in key advancement leadership roles within CALS, most recently serving as executive director of philanthropy and interim assistant dean. In that time, he has worked closely with donors, commodity groups, industry partners, alumni, and campus leaders to strengthen philanthropic support for the college’s teaching, research and Extension efforts. His familiarity with CALS’ priorities and his trusted relationships across the state were central to his selection.As assistant dean of philanthropy, Gipe will lead CALS’ advancement strategy and team, collaborate closely with college and university leadership, and serve as president of the NC Agricultural Foundation. His work will focus on strengthening donor engagement, supporting academic priorities, and securing philanthropic investments that advance CALS’ impact across the state and beyond.Previously, Gipe held leadership positions at Barton College, Campbell University, and the University of Mount Olive, all of which are located in North Carolina.Gipe received both his bachelors and master of science degrees from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State.Jack Gorman and Elizabeth Neustaedter led this search with Lisa Clayton.
