Associate Dean for Research University of California, Davis, Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing | Sacramento, California We are pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Lingler, PhD, MA, CRNP as the new Associate Dean for Research at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. Dr. Lingler assumed her new role on July 1, 2025.Dr. Lingler joins the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing from her role as tenured professor and Vice Chair for Research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing’s Department of Health and Community Systems. She also held a faculty appointment in the School of Medicine’s Center for Bioethics and Health Law. In addition, she served as director of Outreach, Recruitment and Engagement at the university’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. Dr. Lingler also completed a six-year term on the board of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, where she chaired the Mission and Services Committee and served as board secretary.Her federally funded research focuses on identifying the most effective ways to support patients and families undergoing novel and emerging biomarker testing for Alzheimer’s disease. She has published extensively on the experiences of older adults being assessed for cognitive impairment and has played a leading role in developing toolkits and best practice guidelines in this area.Dr. Lingler earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University, and a master’s degree in Bioethics and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh.
