Vice Provost of Enrollment Management University of San Diego | San Diego, California The University of San Diego has appointed Melore Nielsen as its inaugural Vice Provost for Enrollment Management. She began her role on July 1, 2025.Prior to her appointment, Melore had dedicated service to Seattle University for over 25 years. Most recently, she served as the Vice Provost for Student Success, driving positive change and student-centered initiatives that promoted student achievement, persistence, and graduation. Having served in various leadership positions at the institution, she took pride in contributing to achieving the university’s enrollment objectives and the enhancement of the overall student experience.Much of Melore’s career has been spent in admissions and enrollment management. As Vice Provost of Enrollment Management at Seattle University, Melore successfully implemented strategic initiatives to optimize enrollment and worked collaboratively with faculty and staff to foster a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement. Previously, as Dean of Admissions, she led the development of the strategic enrollment plan to attract, enroll, and grow a diverse and talented student body. Prior to joining Seattle University, Melore served as the Director of Admissions at the American College of Switzerland and was an international student advisor and instructor at a community college in the Puget Sound region. Melore received her Master of Arts in Education from Seattle University and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington. She completed Seattle University’s executive leadership program, equipping her with advanced skills and insights into effective leadership practices. Additionally, she has served as board member for the National Catholic College Admissions Association and the Washington Council for High School-College Relations.Lindsay Gold led this search with Drew Nichols and Julia Hochner.
