Aku Ammah-Tagoe

Aku Ammah-Tagoe joined Isaacson, Miller in 2023. She brings over a decade of experience in higher education, K-12 independent schools, and arts + culture organizations, working as an instructor, researcher, and administrator. Her expertise includes change management and equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Most recently, Aku worked as Dean of Equity and Inclusion at the Urban School of San Francisco. She managed the school’s multicultural life division, led equitable teaching and learning, developed leadership pathways for students and employees, and created systems for equity and belonging. Aku has partnered with stakeholders on major initiatives including strategic planning, Title IX policy, and undergraduate curriculum.

Aku earned her PhD in English from Stanford University. She previously served on Princeton University’s board of trustees and is currently an advisory board member for The Ruby, a literature and arts organization in San Francisco.
