Amble Ryan

Managing Associate

Amble Ryan recruits functional leaders for colleges, universities, research institutes, and nonprofit organizations, with a particular focus on searches for executive financial and operational leaders. A selection of Amble’s clients includes Stanford University, Williams College, the Marine Biological Laboratory, Claremont McKenna College, the Museum of Science, the American University of Paris, Duke University School of Medicine, Framingham State University, and the University of British Columbia. 

To every search, Amble brings a nuanced understanding of the critical ways that financial, operational, and administrative functions advance organizational mission and strategic goals. 

Prior to joining the firm, Amble spent five years at Wellesley College Career Education, most recently as the Associate Director for Career Exploration & Advising. Earlier experience spanned the urban and environmental planning sphere, including climate change adaptation, sustainability planning, and economic development work. 

Amble holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Michigan and a BA from Smith College, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Social Innovation Design from the University of Pennsylvania.
