Deirdre Kane

Senior Reference Specialist

Deirdre joined Isaacson Miller in 2022. She brings experience in graduate management education, recruiting, admissions, educational technology, and leadership and organization development to her role as a Senior Reference Specialist.

She started her career in human services working for battered women's programs in Massachusetts and in education teaching at Middlesex Community College in Lowell before entering higher education, joining the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1999 in IT Services, first in desktop support and later as an educational technology specialist before transitioning to a role in MBA Admissions. After three years in Sloan MBA Admissions, she spent 11 years in MBA Admissions with the University of Georgia before joining the firm. She also works as an admissions consultant and freelance content writer.

DeeDee graduated from Drew University with a bachelor's in English literature with minors in French and women's studies, earned her Masters in English literature from the University of Maryland, and an EdD in Learning, Leadership and Organization Development from the University of Georgia. While at UGA, she served on the Boards of Athens PRIDE and Live Forward (an AIDS service organization), chaired the University of Georgia’s LGBTQ faculty/staff organization, and was a member of the Dean’s DE&I Advisory Council at the Terry College of Business.
