Ivan’s search practice is dedicated to supporting mission-driven universities and other educational organizations achieving operational and strategic success. His search experience encompasses both private and public higher education within the U.S. and abroad including the Middle East and Latin America. Ivan has successfully recruited in the areas of student affairs, academic leadership, as well as university-wide strategic, business, and operations-based leadership positions. Ivan’s experience also includes completed and successful searches for executive leaders in non-profit research, science education, entrepreneurial innovation, and membership organizations. He has worked on successful searches for a variety of institutions and organizations including Tulane University, the University of Minnesota, Nova Southeastern University, the University of Central Florida, Zayed University in the UAE, the St. Louis Science Center, and the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory.Prior to joining the firm, Ivan served as a leader in student affairs. Ivan has a background in recruiting, leading, and developing talent, strategic planning, facilitating outcomes-driven programs, and crisis management. Ivan also has served professional associations including the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and the Association for the Study of Higher Education and has held positions of leadership in the American College Personnel Association’s Latinx Network. Additionally, Ivan serves as an adjunct faculty member at Florida International University and teaches graduate courses in higher education leadership, college student development, and crisis management.
