Melanie Ray Reference Specialist CONTACT Melanie Ray Melanie Ray joined Isaacson, Miller in 2009. As a Reference Specialist, she has joined teams in each of the firm's offices on leadership searches for education, advocacy, research and policy, and economic development organizations. Melanie comes from a background in large-scale real estate development for public, private, and nonprofit organizations. She held leadership positions spanning policymaking, strategic planning, marketing, and senior management. Throughout her career, she worked for mission-focused, influential organizations, including Harvard University and the City of Boston. She has also served on a variety of nonprofit, civic, and trade association boards. Prior to joining Isaacson, Miller, she founded and managed a real estate consulting firm serving urban clients. She enjoys volunteering in the conversion of an historic industrial and artists' district to the fastest growing mixed-use neighborhood in Boston. Melanie earned a BA in urban studies from Boston University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
