He brings more than a decade of experience in higher education, having spent twelve years at Tufts University across roles in student affairs, academic operations, and continuing education. At the Tufts Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, he led the program’s administrative and strategic functions, and at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine he advanced through student affairs, registrar, and the Dean’s Office before assuming leadership of the school’s continuing education portfolio. Sam also served as the School of Dental Medicine’s first Director of Continuing Education (CE), Marketing, and Communications, overseeing an expansive CE program and elevating its visibility across the dental community.At Isaacson, Miller, Sam specializes in leadership searches in academic medicine, dentistry, public health, and cancer care. His work includes recruiting deans in dentistry and public health for institutions such as Columbia University, the University of Louisville, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham; chairs of internal medicine, surgery, radiology, and biostatistics at universities including Yale, Iowa, and UAB; and the Director of the UPMC Hillman Comprehensive Cancer Center for the University of Pittsburgh. He also supported the recruitment of the founding dean of public health at UT Southwestern.
