Tim McFeeley

Tim has built a practice grounded in civil rights, advocacy, law, and public policy. His prior experience as an attorney-at-law and nonprofit leader helps inform the insights he brings to his clients. Since joining Isaacson, Miller in 2008, he has led searches for deans of schools of law and public and international affairs; public policy directors; and various leaders of civil rights, environmental, and other advocacy organizations. Tim co-leads the firm’s Social Justice + Advocacy practice group.

Tim’s lifelong interest in U.S. presidential history and the role of leadership in a democracy aligns perfectly with his practice at the firm. In addition to his career as an attorney, he served for several years as executive director of the Center for Policy Alternatives, as well as executive director of the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest LGBT advocacy organization.

In a time of unprecedented challenge and change for legal education, Tim feels it is more important than ever to recruit the right leaders for these institutions. He values working with dedicated directors and trustees to find the professionals best prepared to advocate for a better world.
