Please Join Us in Congratulating Randi Herrick

Isaacson, Miller (IM) is pleased to announce the promotion of Randi Herrick to partner, further strengthening the firm’s well-regarded Healthcare, Academic Medicine, and Health Sciences practice. In her nearly 10 years with Isaacson, Miller, Randi has earned the trust of her clients by consistently delivering high-quality service with her keen eye for talent and her steady and unflappable leadership. She has a longstanding track record of identifying and attracting accomplished, capable leaders with a high level of research and clinical excellence, intellectual creativity, world-class teaching, external engagement, and strategic vision.

“We are delighted to welcome Randi into the IM partnership. Randi has played an essential role in building our Healthcare, Academic Medicine, and Health Sciences practice. Time and again, clients return to Randi because she delivers, and because she is a joy to work with. In addition to being a highly strategic search consultant, she is a generous colleague who is broadly respected by her peers,” said Ericka Miller, President + CEO of Isaacson, Miller.

Since joining the firm in 2014, Randi has led and worked on a broad array of Healthcare, Academic Medicine, and Health Sciences searches. Select recent and current clients include Deans of the Schools of Medicine and Public Health at Yale University; the Senior Vice Chancellor of Health Sciences/Dean of the School of Medicine, as well as the Dean of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh; the Executive Vice President and CEO of the Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University; the Senior Vice President of Health Affairs at the University of Southern California; and the Dean of the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

On her experience at IM, Randi says, “There are two key things that inspire me daily at Isaacson, Miller. The first is that it is easy to feel the immense value in the firm’s mission and work. Placing leaders tasked with strengthening some of the nation’s most fundamental institutions is not a charge we take lightly. In the healthcare space specifically, working with clients and candidates who are addressing pressing needs in patient care, discovery, health equity, and training the next generation of healthcare professionals, the work of IM feels like a tangible way to make a positive impact on the health of populations.

The second is that my colleagues at IM are lifelong learners. The people here care about doing this important work exceedingly well. Our internal conversations are values-focused, strategizing how we can continually improve the craft of search and better serve our clients across the civic sector: The level of dedication to excellence is invigorating.”

Prior to joining IM, Randi worked at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she played a pivotal role supporting more than 20 professional development institutes and workshops designed for K-12 and higher education, administrators, educators, and policymakers. Randi helps high school students navigate the college application process as an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling.

Randi holds a BA from Rollins College and an EdM from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
