Reflective of his enduring relationships, Michael has partnered with the following notable clients on many searches: George Washington University, University of Minnesota, Miami University, and the SUNY System, among others. Previously, Mike served as the senior vice president of the American Council on Education, the major coordinating body for the nation’s colleges and universities. He oversaw all campus-based programs, including a program that identified and prepared individuals to move into senior administrative positions. Michael began his career as a professor and, later, department chair in political science at the University of Kentucky before serving for nine years as the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. He also spent eight years as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Northeastern University. Additionally, he has published extensively on interest groups in American politics, civic participation, and state and local government. Michael has led and served on numerous national higher education and community boards. He currently is on the Board of Strategic Partnership LLC, which works with universities, national non-profits, and corporations to assist them in growing and building national and global recognition.
