Since joining Isaacson, Miller in 2002, Sean Farrell has worked on a variety of executive management and director level searches across the firm's practice. He has staffed some of our most high-profile searches, including those for the Secretary (CEO) of the Smithsonian Institution, President of the University of Pennsylvania, and Chancellor of the SUNY system.

Sean's practice focuses on the intersection of higher education, policy, and international development. He has had the privilege of serving a variety of universities, foundations, think tanks and NGOs. International university presidential recruitments led include King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Yale-NUS College in Singapore, Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), and the American University of Central Asia. He has also led searches for the senior international officer at leading universities including Princeton University, New York University, and the University of Chicago as well as deans of schools of international relations and public policy such as the Dean of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He has also served major economic and social policy think tanks like the Urban Institute and international NGOs such as the Global Fund for Children. Recent searches for deans of education include searches at American University and the University at Buffalo (SUNY).

Prior to joining Isaacson, Miller, Sean worked for an international consulting firm that links U.S. environmental professionals and firms with projects worldwide.
