The Hotchkiss School, Associate Head of School

The Hotchkiss School named Amber Douglas, PhD as the next Associate Head of School.

Douglas joins Hotchkiss from Mount Holyoke College, where she has most recently served as vice president for student success and dean of the college. Her previous roles at Mount Holyoke have included dean of studies, interim chair of the Psychology and Education Department, professor of psychology, and co-chair of the faculty committee on data science. Douglas began her career in education as a postdoctoral fellow for the Consortium for Faculty Diversity, a network of liberal arts colleges dedicated to working with diverse populations. 

As Associate Head of School, Douglas will have overarching responsibility for aligning all academic, co-curricular, and residential programs. She will guide and facilitate key strategic initiatives, and she will serve as an important advisor and partner to Head of School Craig Bradley on overall School operations, escalated matters, and, in particular, the academic, co-curricular, and residential life of the School.
