Executive Director American Pediatric Society and Society for Pediatric Research | The Woodlands, Texas We are pleased to announce that Bruce Hammond has been named the Executive Director of the American Pediatric Society (APS) and the Society for Pediatric Research (SPR), beginning January 8, 2024.Bruce Hammond has served as a leading association/non-profit strategist for more than 20 years. Most recently Bruce has served as the chief staff executive for both the American College of Academic Addiction Medicine and the Hospice Medical Director Certification Board. Prior to his work with these two groups, Bruce served as the Director of Governance & Operations for the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (ASPHO).Bruce is an active member and volunteer for the Association Forum of Chicagoland, where he is currently serving a 3-year term on the Board of Directors through 2026. He has served in the past as Chairman of the Certified Association Executive Working Group, the Communications Shared Interest Group and the FORUM magazine Editorial Working Group. In the past, he has served on the Communication Section Council of the American Society of Association Executives: The Center for Association Leadership.He has spoken at numerous professional events and his articles have been featured in leading association trade publications.
