Executive Director Boston Area Rape Crisis Center | Cambridge, Massachusetts The Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (BARCC) has appointed Isa Woldeguiorguis as its next Executive Director. Woldeguiorguis’ tenure begins on October 18, marking an exciting new chapter in BARCC’s commitment to end sexual violence through healing and social change.Woldeguiorguis has been a leading voice in the anti-violence field for nearly 30 years, has held several statewide and national roles in the movement to end sexual and domestic violence, and is recognized for her activism addressing racial disparities. Since 2012, Woldeguiorguis has served as the Executive Director of The Center for Hope and Healing in Lowell, MA, which provides a diverse array of services to survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones. Prior to her role at The Center for Hope and Healing, Woldeguiorguis was the Policy Director and then Membership Director at Jane Doe Inc., The Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence.
