Dean Loyola University Maryland, College of Arts and Sciences | Baltimore, Maryland We are pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Golom, PhD as the next dean of Loyola College of Arts and Sciences (LCAS) at Loyola University Maryland. Golom, who is an associate professor of psychology, served as chair of the psychology department from 2019 until last year, when he was selected as interim dean of Loyola College. He will begin the role as dean on July 1, 2024.Golom joined the Loyola community in 2013 as an assistant professor of psychology, and his area of expertise sits at the intersection of organizational change, workplace diversity, and team effectiveness. He has published more than two dozen articles related to sociodemographic diversity and is a two-time best research award recipient from the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology. He has been an integral member of the Loyola campus community, serving most recently on the university’s strategic planning steering committee. Prior to coming to Loyola, Golom was an adjunct assistant professor at Teachers College, Columbia University, where he taught in the Department of Organization and Leadership. He also served as the founding associate director for executive education programs in Change and Consultation.A member of Phi Beta Kappa, Golom earned his BA in Psychology summa cum laude from Loyola University in 2004 and a PhD in Social-Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2013.
