Executive Director, West Coast Regional Office Northwestern University | San Francisco, California Northwestern University is pleased to announce the appointment of Genevieve Turcotte as the executive director for the West Coast Regional Office, effective May 15, 2024. Turcotte will lead the strategy and team for the university’s advancement efforts in the state of California, working collaboratively with staff across the Alumni Relations and Development division and with colleagues in the professional schools. Turcotte joins Northwestern from Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), where she serves as associate vice president for principal and major gifts. Turcotte provides strategic leadership and management of the West Coast team, and has led efforts to significantly expand the organization’s major and principal gift donor base, resulting in an increase in annual philanthropic revenue from $3 million to $30 million during her tenure. Turcotte leads the team by example, personally securing gifts at the six-, seven-, and eight-figure levels.Prior to working in the environmental and conservation sector, Turcotte held professional fundraising positions for a variety of Bay Area performing arts organizations, including the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Ballet, and the American Conservatory Theater.
